主格形式 指人 that, as who

指物 which, as

宾格形式 指人 that, as who, whom

指物 which, as

指物 whose (=of which)

系副词有:when, where, why

➢ 限制性定语从句的关系代词是who, that, which, that指人指物均可。

• Is he the man who/ that wants to see you?

• She is the woman who/ that lives next door.

• There is still a big problem that/which has not been solved.

➢ 作非限制性定语从句主语的关系代词是who(指人)和which(指物),决不

可用that。

• She has two daughters, who are college students in Beijing.

• This book, which appeared only a year ago, has already gone through several

editions.

用that

• Do you know the man whom/who/ that our dean is interviewing now?

• Where is the book that/which I bought yesterday?

正式文体中,whom, who, that和which不可省略。

that。

• Mr. Smith, whom you met with, has left for home.

that。

• The headmaster, with whom the parents had discussed their son’s future,

advised the boy to take up engineering.

• This is the refrigerator with which we have so much trouble.

• They are the boys whom/ that I went to school with.
